It currently shows I live in Greater London which is miles away for where I live....

Hi There

You have a couple of options;

1) Try typing your postcode into the search box above the map and clicking search. This may well find you. It seems that google likes postcodes with a space rather than without. You can also search for street names etc but you will need to add the town name on the end as well - otherwise google is likely to direct you to the USA.

OR

2) Just zoom out on the map using the + and - controls and then drag the red house close to where you are. Then you can drag the map around, zoom in and position it more closely.

There will be a screencast showing this in more detail quite soon, but the above should hopefully be enough to get you on your way ...

Good luck and welcome to the site!

On investigation it turns out that if you didn't move the house manually (even if just a little), the position determined when you clicked on search was not being saved. We've fixed that bug and it seems fine now.

Don't forget to click on SAVE after you change the position of the house though, otherwise the system won't store the new location.
