Site Feedback / organization

kenzie said:
love the idea and purpose of site, but find there is too much information for a newcomer to make sense of.

I think the profile of one's own dog should be the most prominent feature, like in facebook for example.

From there one can join the groups they like and have those highlighted in their profile. and make friends with other dogs on their profile page etc.

The organization could be more hierarchical (prioritizing profile page, friend etc. and making other things like shop, walk etc less prioritized) and intuitive to get newbies like me hooked in.

Otherwise, like me, ive signed up but dont know what to do next without spending a lot of time...

Sorry to be so critical. Otherwise, the site is great, clean and needed.

Many thanks and good luck

Hi Kenzie - many thanks for the feedback!

We're hard at work on new features at the moment but once that settles down, we certainly intend having a good look at the site to see what areas we can improve, and I agree with you that there is a bit of overload for new users.

A lot of work will soon be going into screencasts demonstrating areas of the site, weekly emails keeping you uptodate with features, news and activity in your groups, plus some navigation tweaks to make some things more obvious.

Glad you enjoy the site!

Best wishes
