It has been reported that Researchers are to chart the lifestyle of up to 20,000 Labrador puppies in an attempt to boost the health of dogs.
In Edinburgh a veterinary school has put out a call for Labrador retriever owners to take part in the study looking at what influence diet and exercise have on dogs' susceptibility to illness and disease.
Each month they will be asked to log details of their pet's daily life on a website.
It will be an interesting study, but I wonder if doing a study on a single breed can give any meaningful result? with so many specific breeds having such an enormous amount of different inherent illnesses I wonder what if anything can be conclusive.
