It's hard to believe but in excess of 1 Million dogs are regularly left at home with out enough space according to a recent survey by an insurance company.

That's a staggering 14% of dogs in the UK fundamentally being left with out enough for then to move properly. This has knock on health issues for the dogs and will cost the owner more in Vet bills. Dogs that spend hours trapped in cramped conditions without sufficient space to exercise can develop joint problems and weight-related issues such as diabetes and health disease, and the average claim for treating these conditions is in excess of 1000 pounds per year, the insurer says. A number of dog owners said they felt guilty about abandoning their pet, with a quarter saying work commitments prevented them from giving their dogs the attention they needed. The survey also found that 13% of dog owners admitted to not walking their dog as frequently as they should, and 13% said they would not take their dog for a walk if the weather was poor. This is all shocking !!! Don't get a dog if you can't either care of it properly or have the time and space to give it good exercise ! Maybe you can get another dog to walk yours like this ! I bet she won't pick up the poo though This is Newshound signing off WOOF IN DOG WE TRUST There are no replies yet, why not be the first? |
