DODADOG News / HOW TO GO TO THE LOO !

newshound said:
It seems ridiculous that government/council money is being spent like this but apparently people in Milton Keynes (UK) need to be taught what to do with their dog mess.
The BBC have just reported this storey.

Pet owners in Great Linford will be amongst the first in Milton Keynes to be offered a workshop aimed at teaching toilet etiquette for dogs.
'The Doggie Pit Stop' run by Milton Keynes Council will explain how dog poo should be disposed of properly and safely.
The project will tour the new city.
It's hoped the information on offer will encourage dog owners to help keep parks and green spaces in the area free from dog excrement.
Take action
BBC Three Counties reporter for Morning:MK, Jonathan Marsh met with a team leader for Environment Enforcement in Milton Keynes, Sean Greig at Downs Barn.
Sean told Jonathan they are doing the workshops where there are issues with dog fouling:
"We speak to responsible dog owners, to empower them to take action against those who aren't so responsible.
"It is becoming an issue in Milton Keynes. We ask owners to pick up after their dog, they can put the dog mess in any bin, both litter and a dog poo bin, just as long as they keep clean the areas, parks and green spaces for children in Milton Keynes."

Safer communities warden, Mark Wilson told BBC Three Counties, it's more than just cleaning up the place:
"People aren't aware of the infectious nature of dog fouling, it contains a disease that if you get it on your body, or an open sore, it can create serious health risks for you.
"These sort of 'Doggie Pit Stops' highlight this to owners and walkers.
"The key message is if you look after a dog pick up after it."
Dog owners could be handed a £50 fixed penalty notice if caught letting their dogs foul in a public area.

You couldn't make it up !
Please dodadog folk, if you see an owner not dealing with their dogs mess then tell them!
Long term if we don't address it then we will all suffer
