We as a rule, love chocolate..and whatever your religion at this time of year there is an abundance of chocolate everywhere.
Our 4 legged friends are seen as a member of the family and we like to include them in everything we do..DOGS DO NOT NEED CHOCOLATE !!!
Dogs no nothing of our strange traditions and give chocolate to your dog as a treat can be very very harmful, and can even kill!!
However your dog has to ingest quite a bit of chocolate to feel any negative effects. It's the caffeine and bromethalin in chocolate that is poisonous to your dog. Dark baker’s chocolate is most toxic to your dog since it contains a high amount of caffeine and bromethalin. Milk chocolate and white chocolate have lower amounts of caffeine and so are slightly less dangerous.

If your dog eats some chocolate don't panic! If it eats a lot, call your vet!
If you want to treat your dog at this festive time then by DOG treats...make some dodadog, liver treats or maybe a slice of turkey etc..
Keep your dog safe and have a happy Easter
