Im starting this group as I am interested in what we all feed our dogs and the effects some food has.

From a pup I fed my Alfie on a good quality large breed dry formula. this seemed ok up until he was around 12 months, after that he started to get hives, I took him to the vet and was told he had an allergy and that a lot of dogs get this in the summer months. Well autumn came and the hives got worse, so after talking to some local dog walkers about raw food diets I thought Id give it a try ...

King Edwards is open 24/7 so a great place to walk in the winter.
There was a recent scare when 1 dog died and another was very sick from some sort of poison.
There have been no problems since then and the police (with sniffer dogs) had a good search.

Groundforce, employed by Brent council, have 'consulted' 300 houses near the Green, 90 replied. On the back of this consultation - which had just 3 replies from dog walkers -YES THREE!!! - there are suggestions for a cafe, loos, adventure playground, fences on the paths and a RESTRICTED DOG AREA!!! This is obviously complete pants. We need numbers on 19th Feb 12-2 to show Brent and Groundforce that dog walkers ARE a responsible part of the community and our voice HAS to be heard.

There are millions of dogs all over the world looking for a home. All they want is a little love and cuddles and food. You get unconditional love and loyalty from them for the rest of your/their life. I have adopted one such mutt and i think this has been the best decision ever. She has come from a long way away - Romania. Two months on, she has been renamed Gypsy Rose Lee from Pixie and she is a very happy dog and I am a very happy mommy.
